Monday Practice

MONDAYS: Neutral Dominance & Takedowns

Time: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM Focus: The Battle for the First Point.

Monday sessions are dedicated to the most critical phase of wrestling: The Neutral Position. To be a "Complete Athlete," you must be able to control the center of the mat and dictate the pace of the match from your feet.

Core Fundamentals: Stance, motion, and hand-fighting.

The Attack: High-percentage takedowns including double-legs, singles, and hi-C entries.

Counter-Offense: Disciplined down-blocking and sprawling to neutralize an opponent's shot.

The Goal: Dominating the feet and securing the first takedown with explosive, technical precision.

Saturday Practice

SATURDAYS: Mat Control & The Ground Game

Time: 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM Focus: Escapes, Riding, and The Pin.

Saturday mornings are where matches are won or lost: The Mat. We focus on the discipline required to control an opponent from the top and the resilience needed to escape from the bottom.

  • Bottom Revolution: Explosive escapes and reversals. We teach athletes how to "get to their feet" immediately.

  • Top Dominance: Heavy pressure, breakdowns, and riding techniques to exhaust the opponent.

  • The Finish: Pinning combinations and turning techniques (Cradles, Half-Nelsons, Tilts).

  • The Goal: Total control. If we are on top, they stay down. If we are on the bottom, we get out.
